Your Images Live on Car-Part Pro, Announced at Conference
Last week's 2015 Car-Part Industry Conference drew recyclers and industry members from the United States, Canada, and even Australia! From the interactive Checkmate Sales Pro Bootcamp and Partmate in Practice classes to the multiple Panel Discussions and Keynote presentations, there was so much to do and learn. And when the work was done, we had plenty of fun on a riverboat dinner cruise and Saturday night party featuring Car-Part's own band, the VW Beetles!
Two big announcements came in Jeff Schroder's keynote, the first session of the conference: recycler images live in Car-Part Pro search results, and live versions of the newly redesigned Car-Part Pro app and the Car-Part.com app, both sporting a new user interface and an enhanced workflow for multi-part searches.
Jeff told attendees the exciting news that recycler Part Images are now LIVE in Car-Part Pro search results! (And they are coming soon to Car-Part.com, Trading Partners, and individual recycler websites.)
He described how displaying your part and vehicle images in part descriptions gives you an incredible edge with shops and appraisers. Members of the collision repair industry constantly tell us how vital detailed information is when they are searching for recycled parts, and photos are exactly the kind of information they look for when shopping online and deciding which part to purchase.
The Part Images that are available in Car-Part Pro search results are the images you associated with the part and vehicle (AUT) in Checkmate Imaging. Your images will appear in the search results like this:
The thumbnail in the Description is the image you set as the Primary part image in Checkmate or Partmate. (If a Primary image is not set, an image will be randomly selected for the thumbnail.) Your customer clicks that thumbnail to open a gallery window, which displays all public images associated with this part and vehicle (AUT).
Don't worry – if you have images you don't want to be public, just mark them as Private in Partmate or Checkmate, and they won't ever be displayed on Car-Part Pro (or eBay, for that matter).
The second big announcement is the newly redesigned Car-Part Pro mobile app (iOS/Android). The Car-Part Pro app's new workflow is seamless and intuitive for the collision industry, and the mobile app results display your images just like the results in a browser.
The Car-Part.com mobile app is also now live, with an interface similar to the Car-Part Pro app (but without the Car-Part Pro features, such as Part Images).
If you want your image to display in your customer's search results and in the app, please contact us! Even if you meet all the requirements, we won't start showing your images without your approval. For more information about how to use Imaging or Car-Part Pro, or to give approval for your images to be public in Car-Part Pro search results, contact your support rep.
