More Accurate Parts on Car-Part/Checkmate

As part of a recent interchange update, we added many new parts, both in Checkmate and in Car-Part.com online marketplaces. Adding all these new parts offers shoppers more accurate searching, provides more accurate Car-Part.com Demand Data for recyclers, and facilitates providing Car-Part Interchange Plus for more parts.

Changes to Checkmate Part Codes for Locks, Latches, and Hood Releases

To make searches in Checkmate and in Car-Part Marketplaces more accurate/precise, we've introduced more specific part codes for locks, latches, and hood releases.

You may already have many locks, latches, and releases inventoried in Checkmate under the part code LCK (KEYS/LATCHES/LOCKS). Now, there are much more specific part codes available. We strongly recommend that you review all of your LCK inventory and change the part code to align with one of these more specific codes, if appropriate. These new part codes align with the new searchable parts on Car-Part.com marketplaces:

The following Checkmate part codes have been discontinued. In order for your parts to be searchable on Car-Part.com marketplaces, we strongly recommend that you review all your inventory under the discontinued codes, and change the part codes as appropriate (the video listed above shows you how to do this):

As always, you should review your Resolutions in Checkmate after every interchange release. For this release, it will be most effective if you review Resolutions after you have already corrected the part codes as noted above.
